Old photos

The above photo was taken  2 years back with Sony point and shoot camera....
I love taking pictures of flowers and macro objects. It gives me a sense of achievement and opens up a whole new world to me. I am at peace whenever I concentrate to take macro shots.....
Wish I had more powerful camera and lens to capture macro/micro organism/particles clearly.

I am such a novice and just learning, I am not even sure if these photos has the quality to be shared online... Well since it is a personal blog, I'm only documening my life with photos and leaving a part of me and my personal life open to the world (a bit scary)...

I wanted a digital camera for a very long time so finally I got my first Digital camera in 2005 -Sony DSC T-33, which I bought from Palika Bazar, CP, Delhi for Rs.15'000 in grey, without any warranty otherwise it would have cost me more.
I gave the camera to my older brother and got my second camera- Nikon Coolpix S4 which I got from Pune for about Rs. 27'000...
Digital cameras are fun. I played a lot with all the settings and I feel like having more control...
Now, very soon I am planning to get a DSLR and I am very excited about it.

Below are some older photos from 2005 mostly. Actually I lost 95% of my older photos from HDD crashes and these I found in my friend and sister's HDD, so here it is...
This was the time I clicked anything and everything. Everything excited me. Seeing my photo live was very trilling for me.
I tried to remove the time stamp on Photoshop but left some as it is for personal sentimental value...

Ampi has been my model since the time I got my first Digital camera to till date. In fact, we went to buy Sony DSC T-33 together from Palika Bazar, Delhi.

My first macro trial shot! Significant for me at least. I started enjoying macro because with our naked eyes, we usually cannot see those tiny details but suddenly, digital made it possible for me.

It was a lovely evening... We were having chai and aloo chop in JNU, Sabarmati Dhaba and then I saw the way Ampi's hair was highlighted against the evening sun rays, it looked beautiful. I tried to capture the golden glow...

We are (were) a regular customer in this tea chain called Passion, in Priya, Delhi. I love the place. It has one of the best chai and snacks.

Slow shutter. This cat was sleeping under a table in Tapi Hostel's dining room. He snarled at me for disturbing him. Nevertheless, I love cats so took his photo.

Pigeon outside Arunachal Bhawan...

My furry friend- Piano as a pup...

My cat- Kali and her husband who frequents the house...

The mighty Kali napping...

An attempt at water colour. I am not a good artist but I like to paint and draw and I just enjoy the process. The end result may not always be what I had on my mind...

Lots of mosquitoes bit me for these attempts... I went outside at night and took these with flash on in the dark.

I found this bee dead while on an evening walk.. It just made me sad... I was reading Dr. Brian Weiss's books at that time...I got the dead bee and put it on a dead twig and kept in my room. Weird...yes...

My older sister posing for me...

I love making my own concoction of tea and I don't know if it has any medicinal value or is harmful...I like tea as it is. This one is made with very little green tea leafs with dried orange peel and wild mint.
