The customs was way to HIGH. Next time, I'll better buy from India if the camera is anywhere above $100.

  1. Hi Kenri, have just sent you an email, asking you to share your experience on purchasing the GoPro HD Hero2 in India.

I am Kapil from Bangalore, and wish to purchase a GoPro HD Hero2 (Motorsport edition) with extra LCD, extra battery, and a few additional mounting accesories.

I wish to know how smooth was your online purchase experience and how many days did it take for the camera to be delivered to you.

Your reply will help me a lot indeed :) Thanks!

    1. Hi there... At the present rate: USD 299.99 is INR 17202.41 so if you buy only the camera then I think you would be charged 30% of the declared value which may amount to= INR 22363.133, so yes no major difference though slightly cheaper... :) It is useful to have the LCD BacPac though it makes the camera squarish and less pocketable...
A suggestion from me: Do not store your camera inside its water proof case when not using because these days I see some fungus marks on the body of the camera which doesn't go but then my place has lost of moisture in the air and it is raining continuously these days...still better to be on the safer side. :) Cheers~

    2. Thank you for suggestion that would really help..
Haven't used the cam lot yet though but really excited to capture my paragliding flights, not sure LCD BacPac would be that helpful for me as cam would be mounted on my helmet during flights, but have ordered LCD BacPac too hope my friend would be able to chip that in duty free :P
i guess this is only blog in India where someone has really bought, posted and reviewed about GoPro so Cheers! and thanks for that..:)
